Request to Convert to Self-Managed WordPress
If your company has decided to manage your website independently, you may request to move from WebPanel Managed Services to Self-Managed WordPress.
Before making the request, please read Understanding the Differences between WebPanel and Wordpress.
Before You Convert
Once the conversion is approved, the website will no longer be covered by WebPanel's support and warranty. Your company will be responsible for:
Managing and maintaining the website.
Resolving website issues, including downtime, errors, plugin conflicts, updates, security, and backups.
Managing and renewing plugin, theme, and other software licenses not included with self-managed WordPress.
Managing and maintaining any custom code or integrations.
Choose Your Hosting Option
Maper Group purchases hosting and plugin licenses in bulk, allowing us to offer them to customers at subsidised rates as part of the WebPanel Managed Services.
Plugin Licensing:
Your company will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licenses with respective providers for the self-managed website.
After converting to Self-Managed WordPress, you can choose how you would like to host your website.
Subscribe for a New Hosting Plan
You can subscribe to our WordPress Hosting plan. A prorated non-subsidised bill will be issued for the remaining hosting period. Once payment is received, access to the hosting/server account will be provided.
Transfer to Another Hosting Provider
Alternatively, you may transfer your website to another hosting provider within 7 days from the conversion approval. After the 7-day period, access to your current hosted website will be discontinued.
Your company will need to appoint a qualified person or service provider to manage and carry out the website transfer. We does not provide a warranty for the transfer, its process, or the website's performance before and after the transfer.
Submit Your Conversion Request
The conversion request must be submitted by a director or authorised representative of your company.
